In August 2007, Julie was chosen, along with nine other finalists, to play at the Folks Festival Songwriter Showcase, in Lyons, CO. Julie entered Milk & Honey and Baby Bird into the contest, which were selected from 675 entries from around the world. Julie also played at the Folks Festival's songwriter in the round series.
Julie recorded backing vocals on the song South to Memphis for American Nobody's self-titled 2007 CD. South to Memphis and Love Overrated (from the same album) were selected to be included in the 2007 season of Roadtrip Nation.
Julie was included, among other Jackson, WY musicians, in the music documentary Hoot in the Hole directed by Juliet Sonnenberg. Hoot in the Hole was an official selection at both the Appalachian and Vail film festivals and was awarded a Bronze Medal at the Park City Film Festival.
In November 2006, Julie played on KRFC's Live at Lunch program with Brian Granse.
